Dozens of Syrian insurgents flee to eastern Lebanon

On Tuesday, Lebanese security sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that dozens of insurgents entered the country through the Mashareeh al-Qaa area over the past two days, the Lebanese newspaper Daily Star reported.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army has beefed up its presence along the border with Syria.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.

Iraqi PM: Turkey not threatened by Syria, don't overblow war or drag in NATO

NATO must not use protecting Turkey as a pretext to intervene in Syria, the Iraqi PM said during a Russian press conference. The statement followed an escalation of tensions between Turkey and Syria following last week’s cross-border shelling.
“The story goes that supposedly Syrian planes dropped bombs on Turkish territory, but everything has been over-exaggerated, even if it did really happen,”

Nouri al-Maliki said.

He argued that no one was threatening Turkey, and that there was no need for them to call on NATO for support.
“Turkey is being presumptuous, you could say, as if it were taking responsibility for solving the Syrian conflict instead of the Syrian people and wants to impose its own solution. For this reason the international community needs to stop Turkey from intervening,”

MSM Reports that Turkey is a safehaven for the Syrian "rebels". Also that the border is a flow point for weapons. Add the refugee equation and theres no doubt that this war will spread.

Im not taking sides but if a country is fighting for its survival (as-is) border security/integrity HAS to be adressed, and if a bordering country is tacid (at best) at staying the fuck out of it, all bets are off.

The US sending troops to Jordan.. Heard that too, its all over the news here. When they report this (here at least) they throw in the blurb that the US is unsure of Syrias chem weaps... Hmmm.. Nov 6th approaches.. ;)

The hole syria-war is a black CIA operation and Erdogan is a CIA agent...they need syria and the harbor of Tartus for supply lines when iran war starts. The main problem is, in Tartus there is the russian black sea fleet, so U.S. can't be too offensive without starting ww3 immediately...

The fact this is being reported in Turkey itself
and around the region is a good thing.
