5 killed, 25 injured in mortar attack in DamascusAt least five people have been killed and 25 others, including children, injured in a mortar attack in Damascus, Press TV reports.
The attack, which was carried out on Friday, targeted the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in the Syrian capital, leveling a residential block.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but Syrian officials put the blame on foreign-backed insurgents, who have carried out similar attacks in the past. [ link to www.presstv.ir]
