I've seen so much of the "I'm not involved" excuse crap it's sickening. That's why I'm leaving Arizona. It's a daily event here in Maricopa (Sheriff Joe land) county.

This spring my car was totaled by an elderly guy. There were witnesses everywhere. Two women in a golf cart, one working in her yard, another in the intersection and another across the street. They all took pictures and when I approached them they all threw their arms in the air laughing "we didn't see anything, we're not involved". Even the Sheriff's dept. acted like they didn't care and got the wrong information from they guy who hit me and treated me like crap, while I was strapped on a gurney in the ambulance.

I'm not going to change. I'm still going to stop and help people when they need it. I'm just escaping from this god foresaken desert with the creepiest police I've ever dealt with (that includes Los Angeles and Chicgao) as fast as I can.

I'm surprised "long pork" isn't on the menu here. If the Sheriff owned restaurants I'm positive he'd be serving Mexican in his tacos.

I know if I saw that much blood and a guy biting another guy I would not try to get involved. Not only is a guy biting another guy very weird and out of place, I wouldn't even risk contracting something from contact with that blood.

And from personal experience, I was robbed a couple months back in broad daylight, in a busy Starbucks parking lot with at least 10 people who saw. Nobody helped, but I don't blame them.

In psychology you learn that the fact that the people just stood there and watched is called the bystander effect. Everyone thinks someone else will do something about it, or they feel like they will be judged in some way. It's sad but true, If no one else was on the bus and only one person, that one person has an increased likelyhood that he or she would have helped.
