Tear up the beauty that's left. Fuck 12,000+ years of history, we need oil rigs everywhere along with Allah's trash and strip malls. I am a son of Earth and starry sky. I am parched with thirst and am dying; but quickly grant me cold water from the Lake of Memory to drink. |

My heart breaks, and my eyes stream. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25300477 Let's look at it this way, if the IRA gets control of the oil they'll be well funded for a free Ireland. (after they've paid off the IMF debts run up by the banksters, they might afford a new roof on Killblarney village church) ![]() Someone had blunder'd. Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 11835165 10/10/2012 10:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ireland is on the verge of securing revenue from oil that could run into billions of pounds. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25159339 Providence Resources Plc, an Irish and UK company, has confirmed its Barryroe site, 30 miles off the Cork coast, should yield 280m barrels of oil. Providence chief executive Tony O'Reilly Jr said this was the beginning of an Irish oil industry. He described it as a huge success story, following decades of exploration around the Irish coast. [link to www.bbc.co.uk] I'm not sure why anyone would say Ireland should NOT develop petroleum. Clearly, it needs the money. To say that 12,000 years of history or pristine beauty will be damaged in the process is a stretch. Many Irish emigrated to the U.S. for economic reasons. Glad to see Ireland make some money. |
