Were it actually a "Second Sun", we would already see it in the sky (most likely during the day time as well as night) given it's estimated distance from us.
Saturn is actually farther away from the Earth than this comet is currently, and Saturn is quite visible to the naked eye.
This is not the doom you were looking for.
Quoting: Rabid_Wolf you obvously know the shit. when will it be 15 times brighter than the full moon? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25294710 November 27th to 29th will be when it is at it's absolute brightest, and also when it is closest to the Sun. (Good luck seeing it though, as it will be right next to the Sun from our point of view) Again, since it is a comet, (and not a star) it does not generate it's own light and can only reflect our Sun's. However, it should still be a great show from mid October through mid December.
