Why do some people constantly tell fake stories?

As many people lie frequently, PF [pathological lying] cannot be identified on the basis of excessive lying alone, but the qualitative nature of the pseudologue’s lies is also quite distinct (cf. King & Ford, 1988; Weston, 1996; Wiersma, 1933). While the theme of lies can be stereotyped or varied in nature (Deutsch, 1922/1982), they are almost always dazzling or fantastical, and often develop into a complicated system of deception. The imaginative fluency of the lies tends to capture public attention, at least in the short term. The lies must keep a certain reference to reality, and though they are often unlikely, they are not beyond the realm of possibility (e.g., ‘ I communicate with
aliens’) (cf. Sharrock & Cresswell, 1989; Snyder, 1986). Under close scrutiny the lies can often be easily discredited, and for this reason the lying in PF is frequently noted to be destructive to the liar (cf. Akimoto, 1997; Hardie & Reed, 1998; Healy & Healy, 1915). You're so mad with your analytic. So at the opposite, could you name at least ONE person who says true story all the time? And don't answer Jesus or Truman please Just trying to provide some insight; i find this subject very interesting. and to answer your question, NO, I don't think I can name one person who "says true story" all the time. Many lies are harmless (little white lies) that function simply to maintain the illusion of civility between individuals in society, and/or to protect the person telling the lie from unnecessary harm that might result from being truthful. In this universe/world of duality, it seems like every truth has some untruth in it, and viceversa, at least from a human perspective. Do you disagree that there is rampant lying at GLP? It may be well-intentioned, or it may be the result of mental illness, but either way it does not serve any positive purpose and causes many to be mislead and confused. In my opinion, it is essentially another expression of evil in this world, and people who dismiss it as "harmless" are taking part in and perpetuating that evil. Is truth subjective to ones personal perspective? What is truth then? Because many times on GLP speaking ones own truth will result in a ban. So things are sugar coated, or white lies introduced.
