some who believe in Revelations think that:

obama is the A.C.
the next pope will be the man ahead of the world's one religion

the one world religion will be a mix of islam/catholicism/hinduism/buddism/ OR just a dumbed down version of Islamand Catholicism.

all who don't worship the a.c. and receive the 'mark' and worship that religion. The a.c. will go into the 'new' or third temple and declare himself 'god'.

all kinds of possibilities with the scenerios burning in our world today.

that is if obammy is the a.c.

It makes sense to translate the message into as many languages as possible.

Truth be told, I can imagine worse things than Christians prosletyzing the Muslim world.

In 2006 the pope gave a speech in Regensburg which was perceived by some Muslims as an attack on Islam. The pope said he was misunderstood and later visited a mosque in Turkey and prayed with an imam."

I'm sorry but something is very wrong with this. I say you cannot please everyone and still please God. There is a point when you are sleeping with the enemy.

Ecclesiology
Perhaps the most famous and most influential product of the council is the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium.
In its first chapter, titled "The Mystery of the Church," is the famous statement that "the sole Church of Christ which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic, which our Saviour, after His Resurrection, commissioned Peter to shepherd, and him and the other apostles to extend and direct with authority, which He erected for all ages as 'the pillar and mainstay of the truth.' This Church, constituted and organized as a society in the present world, subsists in the Catholic Church, which is governed by the successor of Peter and by the bishops in communion with him" (Lumen Gentium, 8). The document immediately adds: "Nevertheless, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside its visible confines."

so the pope and all the bishops are governed by ST PETER..."in communion with him"...NOT god or christ directly but st peter only.

looking up this vatican "2" thing:

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

interestingly:
"Pope John XXIII opened the Council on 11 October"

and

"13 October 1962 marked the initial working session of the Council"

so almost on the anniversary. and they do love their 11 and 13

After adjournment on 8 December, work began on preparations for the sessions scheduled for 1963. These preparations, however, were halted upon the death of Pope John XXIII on 3 June 1963

" Josef Frings criticized the Holy Office, and drew an articulate and impassioned defense by its Secretary, Alfredo Ottaviani. This exchange is often considered the most dramatic of the council. (Cardinal Frings's theological advisor was the young Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, who would later, as Cardinal, head the same department of the Holy See.) "

so frings and ratzinger, both german. take over.

Vatican II? Dear Lord spare us of the wrath that Vatican II has done to your Church.

13? October 13th? This should spook the daylights out of ya. October 13th is the Anniversary of Fatima when the Blessed Mother appeared to the children and 70,000 people witnessed the miracle of the sun.

Fatima was named for a Muslim Princess.

Vatican II is the establishment of the NWO within the Catholic church.
My mother and grandmother talked about this back in the 80's.

Back then when the current pope was Cardinal Ratzinger, they

spoke about how he changed the Catholic church to Vatican II

and how Vatican II will usher in the Antichrist. Do not shoot

the messenger, this is what i was told when I was a child.

Absolutely spot on, the Freemasons and communists (luciferians) infiltrated the highest levels of the Vatican (read up on father Malachi Martin and Kathleen Keating). The church thinks it can influence politics when it is there role and duty to look after the spiritual side of the flock.

Re: Pope Prays in ARABIC, for the FIRST TIME! WTH?
more:

"By the spirit of Vatican II" is meant to promote the teachings and intentions attributed to the Second Vatican Council in ways not limited to literal readings of its documents, but not in contradiction to the "letter" of the Council[25][26] (cf. Saint Paul's phrase, "the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life")

i have no idea what that means but it seems contradictory and weird. and pretty important since the entire spirit of vatican 2 depends on it

"It was as though the world (or at least the history of the Church) were now to be divided into only two periods, pre-Vatican II and post-Vatican II. Everything 'pre' was then pretty much dismissed, so far as its authority mattered. For the most extreme, to be a Catholic now meant to believe more or less anything one wished to believe, or at least in the sense in which one personally interpreted it. One could be a Catholic 'in spirit'. One could take Catholic to mean the 'culture' in which one was born, rather than to mean a creed making objective and rigorous demands."

Re: Pope Prays in ARABIC, for the FIRST TIME! WTH?
To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the beginning of Vatican II, in October 2011, the Vatican's website and many other Catholic news organizations announced that the Pope Benedict XVI, had made the period from October 2012 to the end of November 2013 (the Solemnity of Christ the King) a "Year Of Faith" in a solemn declaration, and ordered all parishes and religious institutions to find some manner during that Year of celebrating and reaffirming the Creed (there are now two main Creeds- the shorter Apostle's Creed and the lengthier Niceno-Constantopolitan, or Nicene Creed. The Nicene creed is recited at each Mass, and both are listed and examined in the landmark 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church; they serve as fundamental declarations that a catechumen or a baptized Catholic identifies with the Church).

so is that about???
some all hallow eve ritual thing?

Observance in other churches

Those churches that use the Revised Common Lectionary observe Christ the King Sunday (titled Reign of Christ Sunday by some) as the last Sunday of the liturgical year. These churches include most major Anglican and mainline Protestant groups, including the Church of England and the Episcopal Church as well as the Anglican Church in North America, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and other Lutheran bodies, the United Methodist Church and other Methodist bodies, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the United Church of Christ, and the Moravian Church. In Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Sweden, this day is referred to as the Sunday of Doom, previously centred about the final judgement, though from the Lectionary of 1983 and forwards, the topic of the day is the Return of Christ"

"Vatican City, Oct 9, 2012 / 10:23 am (CNA/EWTN News).- A procession of over 400 bishops from around the world will form a key part of the ceremony to open the Church’s Year of Faith on Oct. 11, a day that will also mark the 50th anniversary of the start of the Second Vatican Council.

“When you look at the television images of Vatican II from 50 years ago, first of all you see a big procession with all the bishops. We will repeat the same” procession, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelization, told CNA Oct. 9.

“It should be a moment of prayer, a moment of spirituality, and also a moment when we can take into serious consideration the teachings of Vatican II,” he said.

At an Oct. 9 Vatican press conference, Archbishop Fisichella unveiled the details of Thursday’s opening ceremony in St. Peter’s Square, promising it will be “deeply impregnated” with symbols of the Second Vatican Council, which lasted from 1962-65.

“Extracts from the four conciliar constitutions will be read out as expressions of the Council’s work and of renewal in the life of the Church,” he explained."

"He also disclosed that the same lectern and copy of the Sacred Scriptures that were used 50 years ago will be used in this week’s ceremony.

After the Mass, Pope Benedict XVI will re-enact his predecessor Pope Paul VI’s conclusion of the Second Vatican Council in 1965 by issuing a series of “Messages to the People of God,” which will include words for rulers, scientists, artists, women, workers and the young."

yes, we have some weird ritual taking place right now.

so who is this person....and the second copy goes to....?

funny they "typoed" her last name as "fairey", on purpose?

it is actually farey:

[link to www.newliturgicalmovement.org]

"Dr Caroline Farey of the Maryvale Institute Appointed as Participant to Synod on New Evangelisation"

[link to www.thesowerreview.org]

"Caroline Farey divides her time between teaching catechetics and philosophy. She is currently the Director of the BA in Applied Theology for Catechesis at the Maryvale Institute in England, and Lecturer in Philosophy at St Mary's College, Oscott, the Seminary for the Archdiocese of Birmingham, where she teaches Metaphysics, Epistemology, and St Thomas Aquinas. She originally studied philosophy under Cardinal Desmond Connell in Dublin and then pursued further philosophical studies for an M.Phil in Cambridge. Since that time, years of experience in retreat and pilgrimage settings in Lourdes and in parish and community formation in the Faith have contributed to her passion for supporting an authentic catechetical formation which draws upon all of the riches of Catholic art and culture and of the Church's philosophical heritage. She is a regular contributor to The Sower, writing the Learning Through Art pages and sees The Sower as a key means of ensuring a creative ongoing formation for DREs and key catechists. Her own ongoing formation has included an MA in Theology and a Licence in Philosophy from the Pontifical University, Maynooth, as well as an S.T.L from the Pontifical University Louvain. She is currently completing doctoral studies at the Lateran University in Rome."
