God will NEVER speak to us in a confusing manner. Quoting: Salt Genesis 11:7 (God speaking directly)-- Let us go down there and confuse their languagedifferent context. that was to prevent an evil event that would destroy mankind. then, he offers a gift to the early church to obtain the supernatural ability to speak foreign languages. interesting right? When God speaks to His people, He uses His holy, divine word. If you are hearing from God, 9 times out of 10 it is with scripture. sometimes it is plain ol' chastisement or simple instruction. I read in my bible God talks to people in an audible voice
