Sheeple...The Bible is just a book.
The Bible was written by man. God was created in man's image and not the other way around. it is a tool that is being used to enslave your mind. and in doing so enslave society. to blindly put all your faith and believe in something that was written and then re-written, torn apart and edited by "the church" and then called a new testament. if this so called "word of god" was really written by an almighty super being shouldn't it have been left alone in its purest form?
There were parts of the bible that got taken out by the catholic church many years ago.... who has the right to say what goes in and what goes out.... why did they decide these no longer were "bible-worthy" its because this book is the only source of their power. and influence around the world.

We are more than what this book tells us we are. we have the power to do anything we set our minds to. our mind is god in a way. people figured that out long ago. and have used bible and god to hold power over and influence.

in my opinion organized religion has been the downfall of society. it has brought on nothing but predjudice, bigotry, hatred, not to mention sprouted countless wars. all in the name of "God" who has many alias's
and comes in many flavors.
Man created religion because we were stupid and didnt know anything about how the universe works we had questions that needed answers and the answer then was god. we know better now. wake up sheeple. its not too late.

Jud 1:17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Jud 1:18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.

Normally I don't get involved:

Here's truth:

The bible was edited, things from the bible have been removed, and edited.

You know Martin Luther translated scripture to the KJB

and then made his own religion?

That's not weird!

these are just words. nothing more.... the bible has great morals to be taught. but in todays society. its a little outdated. it creates a status quo.and people today are smarter than that. we each have our own power. we are individuals and should not let other people take our power away from us. stand up for what you think is right no matter what. love who you fall in love with. live your life how you want to live it. dont live it in fear because you were told your whole life that this guy is watching every move every single 7,071,678,000 people make and judge them if they lived a good life and send them to burn in all of eternity if they didnt go to church and give them all your money.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

Its time to leave ALL religions in the past were they rightfully belong. It truly does amaze me in this day in age and especially with whats blatantly going on here that people are still religious. Its no wonder the world is in the mess it is today. Figure of speech but "god help us".

That book was never in the accepted inspired writings. The Nazarene Christians already had the inspired writings before the Roman Church and councils.

Even the non-believers record Jesus' death upon the cross at the hands of Pilate.

History does not support your claims.

-

The Council of Nicaea met in 325 A.D, assembled at the command of the Roman Emperor Constantine, and met to address the heresies of a man whose name was Arius.

The Council of Nicaea did not actually make the original decision about which books were to be part of the Bible. What the councils did do was not so much decide, as agree with what had already been decided and was already in practice in the churches all over the world.

The Roman Catholic Church would have you believe that all local churches and congregations were in chaos having all sorts of books in their churches and considering them as scripture, being deceived until in 325 A.D. the Catholic Church finally gets it right comes in and restores order.

The Catholic Church was not even around, and early Nazarene Christianity was flourishing. It was flourishing so much that in dozens of places in the Roman Empire, Christians were building underground cities called catacombs - in order to survive the persecutions that Satan was inspiring and directing through the Roman Emperors.

Remember at the time of the Council of Nicaea that the Roman Catholic Church Hierarchy did not yet exist. It did not have that little piece of real estate in the Vatican until after 325 A.D. It was after the Council of Nicaea that the Emperor set up the Catholic Church.

But the Roman Emperor Constantine who worshipped the Sun God knew that he was having trouble gaining legitimacy amongst Christians. He craved this and sought out Eusebius to see how to make this happen. Eusebius suggested a council of all of the independent Christian churches within the Roman Empire, and Constantine agreed.

1) the church council did not "decide" the Canon of the Bible, they rather AFFIRMED/CONFIRMED the Canon.

2) the books known as the Apocrypha were not accepted as part of Scripture.

3) the history of the Catholic Church is that the longer she continues, the greater her heresies become. She continues to accumulate untruth as time progresses. The more that the Catholic Church continues in time, the greater her reliance on apocryphal books. It had to be that way, because the 66 books of the regular and true Bible in no way justified the doctrines that the Catholic Church was teaching.

4) for this reason, the Roman Catholic Church has tried to uphold the supposed Canonicity of the Apocrypha. They did not succeed in doing this until the Council of Trent, when they finally came out and said that the books of the Apocrypha would be treated as Holy Scripture itself. That was a departure from the historical books of the Bible, and a departure from history, and a departure from treating the apocryphal books as not being part of the Canon of Scripture. In other words, 1500 years after Jesus died (and rose again), the Roman Catholic Church decided to change which books should be included in the Bible.

Taken from the book: Canon of the Old and New Testament

Re: Sheeple...The Bible is just a book.
The sun-god Horus was worshipped nearly 1,000 years before the story of Jesus.
Check these parallels:

Both were conceived of a virgin.
Both were the "only begotten son" of a god (either Osiris or Yahweh)
Horus's mother was Meri, Jesus's mother was Mary.
Horus's foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus's foster father was Joseph.
Both foster fathers were of royal descent.
Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to have been born in a stable).
Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel.
Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star). Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in the East).
Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 21 (the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25.
Both births were announced by angels (this si nto the same as number 7).
Both had shepherds witnessing the birth.
Horus was visited at birth by "three solar deities" and Jesus was visited by "three wise men".
After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered.
To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, "Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child." To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to "arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt."
When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where hsi eye was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah.
Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual.
Neither have any official recorded life histories between the ages of 12 and 30.
Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan.
Both were baptized at age 30.
Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
Both Anup and John were later beheaded.
Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Satan.
Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation.
Both have 12 disciples.
Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and restored sight to the blind.
Horus "stilled the sea by his power." Jesus commanded the sea to be still by saying, "Peace, be still."
Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.)
Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in Bethanu (literally, "house of Anu").
Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount.
Both were crucified.
Both were crucified next to two thieves.
Both were buried in a tomb.
Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3 days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back "three days" later (although Friday night to Sunday morning is hardly three days).
Both had their resurrection announced by women.
Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign.
Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as the Christ (which means "anointed one").
Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the fisher, and the winnower.
Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish).
Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the vine, and the shepherd's crook.
Horus was born in Anu ("the place of bread") and Jesus was born in Bethlehem ("the house of bread").
"The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament states the following prophecy: 'Out of Egypt have I called my son.'"
Both were transfigured on the mount.
The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of "Madonna and Child."
Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are called "Immaculate".
Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once."
Horus was identified with the Tau (cross).
