"Santa Claus is recognized by the U.S. Federal Election Commission as a candidate for President of the United States in 2012. Santa believes that "the United States has lost its moral compass," and he aims to "restore America's heart and soul."

I think he stands an extremely good chance, as Americans have needed and wanted for a long time Santa Claus for president, and it's an undisputed fact he is much more popular than either Obama or Romney, more than any former US president even. The only thing is however, he should shave his beard off as it is very unsightly for a president of the US (his outfit is a bit dated as well, a nice suit might be better suited).
