Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31137398 Maybe not, it's more amusing to watch all of you whine like a bunch of cry-babies for it So in addition to being dead wrong over and over, you lack integrity as well. This doesn't really surprise me; I suspect you don't even honestly believe the things you say, I think you're just trolling. You've now proven that you lack integrity, so there's no reason to take anything you say seriously. There's no reason to respect you either. I do not respect liars. then gtfo my thread, butt fag! I think not. I'm enjoying watching you fall flat on your face. I'm enjoying it so much that I'm going to pin it just to showcase how much of an epic fail you are. I'm coming. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 31341063 South Korea 01/02/2013 11:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Dr. Astro Actually I shut you up; FR applies to orbiting objects just as easily as it applies to stars, as can be seen in this video I recorded of ISS: That the moon orbits earth is irrelevant. The moon orbits the earth at a much slower rate than ISS and the effect of its orbital motion on the rate of field rotation is minor. ISS orbits closer and faster, making it behave far less like normal stars. The moon orbits much farther away and much slower, so as far as field rotation goes it behaves just like the stars. Both, however, experience field rotation from rising to setting. That's why you can track the moon at a sidereal rate and although it will gradually drift out of the field of view, the rate that it will do so is quite slow. There is no fundamental difference; the moon will still rise and set like the stars, it just takes slightly longer than the stars do as it slowly orbits from west to east. You failed to offer a substantive reply to this post: [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] You then fulfilled Danth's law by falsely claiming victory, despite being unable to offer any kind of substantive rebuttle. "If you have to insist that you've won an Internet argument, you've probably lost badly." [link to rationalwiki.org] It certainly applies here as well. so you think that the moon is subjected to a different view than the Stars whilst the moon orbits--fucking ORBITS!--the earth while the stars do not? You are the biggest idiot I've ever come across across in all my life. ISS orbits, FUCKING ORBITS, the earth, but it still experiences field rotation from rising to setting. In fact, ISS orbits the earth far fucking faster than the fucking moon. So while the moon rises and sets at a slightly lower the sidereal rate, ISS rises and sets in a matter of minutes thus displaying all of its field rotation in that short span of time. If ISS shows field rotation despite orbiting the earth (quite rapidly at that, whereas the moon moves at a nearly sidereal rate), why wouldn't the moon? :headshot: Take your heed. |

The earth turns on its axis and due to the way we live on the earth, this is what causes field rotation. You would not see field rotation in the stars themselves but you would in the star constellations. Just check out how the constellations look when the are rising and when they are at zenith and when they are setting and you will see the same field rotation. Education always helps... |

I just showed that your excuse doesn't work, orbiting objects DO show field rotation, even in extreme examples where the object orbits at a highly non-sidereal rate. That was generous to your claim since it doesn't move "like the stars" at all (whereas the moon very nearly does). Field rotation still applies. |
