Large area of the sun is black..

Do you have eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to understand? JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY to SALVATION, DELIVERANCE and PEACE! Soon his grace will be taken from the earth and his WRATH will be poured out. Accept JESUS CHRIST while the GRACE of GOD is still available. May the Peace of God be with you! Love, Pray, Repent and Forgive.

so wtf does this mean????
I am what I am...
----------------
"That which makes you think that you are a human is not human. It is but a dimensionless point of consciousness, a conscious nothing; all you can say about yourself is: ‘I am’. You are pure being-awareness-bliss. To realize that is the end of all seeking. You come to it when you see all you think yourself to be as a mere imagination and stand aloof in pure awareness of the transient as transient, imaginary as imaginary, unreal as unreal." — Nisargadatta Maharaj

"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea shore and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary whilst the great ocean of truth lay undiscovered before me." — Isaac Newton

Intent is obvious, But. We are dealing with colouration in that particular spectrum and of course they are not black, but slightly shaded not black.

Re: Almost Half the Sun Covered By a Huge Black Spot!
BUMP!

Things that make me wonder.... If the sun is supposed to be a fireball, then does that mean it is being fed a constant source of oxygen? And if so, what made that oxygen? For it to flare like that, wouldn't that then mean that the sun is getting bursts of oxygen to burn off?

Now then, if the sun is an electric sun like many people suggest, then wouldn't the bursts from the sun have a more electric look to it, like you see in those novelty electric balls?

The bursts from the sun look more like how water would flow than fire or electricity? Maybe lava like flow? Could everyone be wrong about the sun. Fire would spark and flare outwards in many directions, not circular even flowing bursts! Same goes with electricity. These are very violent elements (fire and electricity) Could it be a combination of fire/electricity/lava/water/wind(oxygen) all rolled into one?

Just thought I'd give you guys something else to think about!

It is not simply that one wavelength (that image in OP is just the wavelength where it is most visible), look at all of the images and you will see what I believe is called a 'coronal hole' covering most of the side of the sun which is facing us. So far in my 6 months or so of watching the sun daily I have not seen one this large. You can also see a quite spectacular sunspot coming into view on the upper left side. Probably no doom, just fun to look at and watch.

It is, to me, sad how fast people forget the FOUNDATIONS of our fine country! This country was built by an armed population capable of fending for themselves, and will be lost by couches full of potato-sheeple riding their 52" HD-LEDTV's into the orwellian sunset. :(

also, when you view the sun it acts really strange even without all these dark spots on it.

If you think in 4d we spiral through the galaxy trailing the sun with the rest of the planets. So the sun is roaring through space at unimaginable speeds.

I know that when I throw a tennis ball of fire (Fun stuff) the fire trails the ball like this <O Now if we are following the sun through space and the sun is fire....then why does it not show this trail at all times? Is it just the vacuum of space keeping it all uniform and centered like this (O)

And if that is true, then what is feeding this giant fireball this oxygen? Also, why does the sun behave in this way? Shouldn't a fireball act like a tennis ball on fire being thrown?

That leads me to believe that the sun is not a fireball like they say! Now an Electric sun would act more like this! Then again, you would not see such a "flowing" of sunbursts like we are seeing in these pictures! Therefor the sun can not be purely electric in nature, can it? Even with the supposed massive gravity, and vacuum of space!

Hmmmmm. Anyone?

Just a shitload of solar wind streaming at us along the magnetic field lines exposed by the hole, that is all. Our magnetic field should deal with it just fine.

Billy is correct, in the years i have watched the sun via SOHO i have never seen a coronal hole so large, this is definitely an eye brow raiser.

My desktop image and screensaver are up to date images downloaded from the SOHO site every 30 minutes, I set this up about 6 to 8 months ago, and watch the sun closely. In this time I have not seen a dark area this large. Maybe you can provide some older images showing and area this large??? I am not claiming any doom here, as the sun is reaching solar maximum it should be expected that situations like this will occur.
