Biden lied very convincingly there, given that the story has already broken down. I did like Ryan's snort about 0:30.

During the debate I thought Ryan should have gone after Biden harder on this, but maybe he figured Biden's position had already been put on the record, ready for Romney to attack in the next Romney-Obama debate.

The next one is a town-hall meeting style around domestic and foreign policy on Tuesday.

Plenty time for Benghazigate to pick up steam.

Since Romney got hand slapped right after the attack, IMHO it would be wise if he backs off a little and frames it so Obama hangs himself instead of coming out with a direct, frontal attack.

I doubt that Romney spoke so quickly without knowing he was right. The Republicans don't want to say how he got the information. But I'd not be surprised at all if he has sources.

This could be why the Reps back off whenever the Dems go after that line of questioning.

Free-associating here: maybe those same sources lied to the Dems to create chaos among the Dems.

Biden blamed the "intelligence community". The ic told the one thing and they went with it, then the ic changed to a different story.

Seems that rather than talking to each other, the various Administration mouthpieces (Obama, Biden, Hillary, Rice) each have their own sources, maybe in the ic, and they got different messages so they were not synchronized.

Has the "intelligence community" (NSA, CIA, who knows what other entities) picked Romney? I'm sure they are real people with real opinions.

And may I say, I think they're patriotic. I am far less sure about Obama in that regard. In my experience with military related people, I've found them to love our country. And so if the "intelligence community" has decided they want Romney to win, I think that I want him to win too.
