Oh crap this happened to my cousin he was in college and was always high when they came by to talk and he was all messed up so he went along with there stuff. They were super nice but pushy he had to call the cops on them so they would leave him alone.

I guess I'll tell him its not what I'm in to. I am starting to dread the text message that says hes on his way. But I will tell him in person not by text. That would be weak.

JWs do not believe Jesus is God: therefore, from Jesus' mouth, they will die in their sins. Only Jesus can cover our sins.....not good works, not money, nothing else.

i tried to tell him the part about "you will only know god through me" and he didn't buy that part either.

He won't "buy" that Jesus is God either, but the Bible says that Jesus is God, and that anyone who does not believe that and convert (repent) will die in their sins.

Jesus is God and is the only way to heaven. People either believe that or they die in their sins.

My mom is a JW. Look man... nobody twisted your arm to study the Bible, right? They offered and you said yes. If you don't wish to continue, just say so. I'm not going to tell you they wont try to be persuasive... again, just restate your position. No harm done.

It's always amusing to see the folks who come out of the woodworks with faulty accusations against JWs.. for ex, the poster above saying they're a cult (probably couldn't even define cult if his/her life depended on it). Even the ones that used to bash them for not accepting blood transfusions (most folks are aware that even the Dept of Defense - yearh you read that right look it up if you dont believe me... all branches - Army, Navy, Marine, AF - they're all doing bloodless surgery given the many benefits: less costs, less risks, etc... all thanks to JWs stance on blood!).

The fact is, there's not a religious group anywhere that comes even close to doing what JWs do... going door-to-door preaching... all volunteers and all for free and all over the world.

When you speak in tongues, do it in English.

Well at the moment neither you or your friend seem to be heading to anywhere where you really want to be going to when this life is over.

Just knock on their door, especially when they're busy or around dinner time. Then when they come to the door, start talking to them about a bunch of shit they don't give a flying fuck about.

Just tell him that you are not converting to his cult of a religion and that you will never be his possession! The JW's treat women almost as poorly as muslims, you do NOT want to keep going down this path. By the sound of it he is pretty well brainwashed and his only goal in converting you is to subjugate your individuality and bend you to his will. FLEE NOW!!!

Man up and just be honest about things, and the way that you feel about the relationship. Don't start making excuses or telling lies. And you should be able to break up in a civilized fashion, and that way you can remain friends, in order to keep your options open.
