I know that, for sure, but am very suspicious of someone claiming to be concerned who then turns around and criticizes those of us who are trying to get the word and info out.

I think this is my first post here, and I wouldn't want anybody to think that I'm paranoid, but...

Am I the only one that thinks that the 'Lake Peigneur' incident in the 80's was just a trifle convenient for an accident, and more like a DRY RUN under relatively controllable circumstances. After all it was only 50 miles to the west of the current sink-hole and would have been a lot easier to control by shutting off the sources of water.

I know that accidents can happen, but don't you think that they would have been extra careful in placing that rig on the lake knowing that there was a salt mine below ?!

I think it pretty well explains that he/she is NOT on the side of those who are concerned about the sinkhole and how it potentially could affect this entire nation:

I'm aware of the entire topic and implications, but this Patassa has a thread providing all kinds of updated info on the sinkhole, which leads one to believe that he/she is legitimately concerned . . . but then why on earth would a concerned citizen in Louisiana become SO enraged over other people posting about the sinkhole and about ANY topics that might be related to BP and the sinkhole? Her/his anger is very disturbing and you'd think they would want ANY discussion at all which could lead people to become more aware of the problems.

I guess there are various types of shills, some obvious, others who try to perpetuate the illusion, but ultimately get ticked off and can't keep it together and eventually expose who they really are.

I spoke with a co-worker who was born & raised in that area. I have given him some information of what everyone has found and sharing. I also asked him how come the locals are not worried. His exact statement was "they have lived with swamp gas and sudden explosions most of their lives, it's just another day" he told me about when he was young they had an explosion and his grandfather lived about 3 blocks away. It blew his grandfather out of bed. He did tell me what the explosion was from but for the life of me I can't recall the word he used. He also told me, which I laughed, about the swamp gas (methane) is a common occurrence down there to ignite, all be it small, the locals call them the ghost of the swaps. He said you can be driving/walking through some areas and all of a sudden you will see the "ghost" which is methane igniting just for a brief second. He said they are also called and this is my hooked on phonics spelling "ducamocrova". Anyway, he said the people down there really don't see it as a big deal. I think most it's just so BIG it's hard to even fathom especially if their eyes have not been wide open for a while.

Think about all the people in 9/11 running out covered in white dust, and no debris from 4 buildings, with intact vehicles scattered below. Buildings cut cleanly in half in places with desks and chairs remaining un-burned at the cut. Giant skyscrapers designed to take the impact of passenger planes due to proximity to airports and height with enormous iron centers GONE!! Buildings supposedly impacted by airplane fuel that burns at the same temperature as kerosene, which is used with camping stoves. Do the boy-scout pots melt?
