The Driver did the right thing. But in this society he will be charged and arrested for it.

His problem is he got up to go after the women. He approached her after she struck him and then backed away so he can claim self defense.

If you work in the public sector you have to maintain a professional attitude, the woman should have been asked to leave the bus and if she refused then the driver should have notified the authorities.

But what actually happened was this.........

The driver wrongly engaged in a heated exchange of vulgarity, left his seat and delivered a vicious punch to the head of a much smaller female in full view of and in the presence of many others off camera that would have felt severely anxious about the whole situation.
