Think of all the children who die in accidents or disease, and then think of some old geezer who lived to be 95. If there is an afterlife, nobody has really been cheated out of anything. If there is none, millions of innocent people have been denied something that should have been theirs by right. Justice isn't real. Animals don't look for justice. Justice is only an idea. Good and bad aren't natural things. Not saying there is no afterlife, just not an afterlife where someone gets judged and sent to good/bad. Whether or not a person is judged after death wasn't the point I was trying to make. The issue is simply whether or not an afterlife exists. If it does, it would compensate for the tragedy of death at a young age. Good and bad most certainly are natural things, because suffering and death are natural things. As civilized beings, we try to minimize suffering and death but are not always successful in doing so.
