This image was taken by Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 65 (2012-10-12 00:21:35 UTC) . [ link to mars.jpl.nasa.gov] Take a good look and tell me what you think. It's got to be a piece off the rover itself. Notice how it's got no Mars dust on it. Must have came off the rover or any other parts that were involved in the rover's landing. IMHO. Great observation, especially considering prior to this we were stuck on the 'used alien condom' theory.
