Human beings are peculiar: they imagine that by merely kneeling down in a church, they will experience the presence of God
"Human beings are peculiar: they imagine that by merely kneeling down in a church or temple and reciting a few prayers, they will experience the presence of God. No, they cannot sense the presence of God unless they do some inner cleansing. Just as the light of the sun cannot shine through a window covered with dust or soot, so the divine presence cannot penetrate those who have not rid themselves of their impurities. There is always work to be done in this respect. This is why, every day, morning and evening, you must think about this purification. By analysing your inner states, your thoughts and feelings, by striving to master them and to guide them in the direction of good, you will become like a transparent crystal through which the light of heaven can shine. It is then that you will feel the presence of the Creator. "

Since we are manifestations of the creator, as is everything, how could we NOT be in the presence of god. Everything is god! Me, you, the air, the water, the chair!
Religions and their dogmas are for the weak minded.

I had a near death experience which should make me a huge believer in God but there are so many un answered questions, everyones faith in god is different and they make up their own beliefs of who God is, God is God there shouldnt be any of our own version of who he is, if we create our own version ....arent we being our own god in a sense?

I never got much out of church, besides church is for fellowship, meeting new and old friends under a roof besides a bar. Do your praying at home alone but Jesus said you have two have or more people to call on Jesus. I guess you have to be together with someone to get results. Yet the bible says pray alone. go figure
In a sense, We all have to experience that thing we call life. Sometimes when your thinking or trying to decide about something, A feeling of the right thing could be the god from within. or it may just be you. One of my requests when asking for something was, keep me out of jail, because we all make mistakes. So far so good. Ive had some close calls and am thankful.cool2
