Ouch, that's not good, our front line medical professionals tend to dislike such jabs, and no jab = no job seems pretty harsh.

Our Gov and the NHS try year in year out to increase the uptake of the flu shots to their target of 90% but they usually only get anywhere between 25% to 30%.

Is the uptake in the US about the same? I would have thought so given the sceptical nature of medical professionals, especially when it comes to putting this stuff in their own bodies, at least that has been my experience.

For now, some hospitals allow the medical staff to choose between taking the shot or wearing a mask during the flu season.

Religious exemption is another way of avoiding the jab.

What about egg I cant get the flu shot thanks to my serious allergy I suppose that would make me exempt.

AS to the flu shot, I am sick of seeing advertisements on it on TV, and seeing it advertised at Wal-mart, and other places. 20 years ago you never saw this kind of crap.

Good friends of mine(husband's a doctor)have been receiving flu shots every year. The recent meningitis scare, caused by the epidural injection, has this family reconsidering their annual skin prick.

I work for Inova Health Systems in Northern Virginia and they are making us get a flu shot. In the past, they would only make the hospital personal get them or what they call "front liners".

I work in the data center and never step into any of our hospitals and I was forced to get one. They came to our facilty, lined us up and gave each person a shot. Anyone who does not comply by Dec 7th will be sent home and will then have one week to get a shot or be terminated.

Last week my dad said the doctor offered him a flu shot per his normal check-up. He denied it and the doctor kept pushing it but gave up. I told my dad what I think about the truth of vaccines and he agrees that its just a bunch of junk to make money (he's 63 and lives in Florida btw)

If I were forced to take an unwanted flu shot, I would cover the area with clay such as Bentonite Clay or Diatomaceous Earth in hopes it draws some of the nastiness out. Next, I would take Chelation such as Cilantro to help eliminate the mercury or aluminum in the vaccine and build up my own immunity with olive leaf tea.
