Interesting

Propylene glycol is the most commonly used preservative for tobacco, so you are smoking it when you smoke cigarettes anyway.

Glycerol is used in everything from cough syrup to medicines.

So what you are saying is that you can smoke propylene glycol and you feel fine, but vaporizing and consuming it at a lower temperature makes you have an allergic reaction ?

I'll have to ask my housemate about this, he's a biochemist who currently works designing e-liquids for e-smokes here in NC.

Very strange.

all i know is that the smoke from smoke machines, and the liquid you buy to put in them, makes me swell up - lips, eyelids, etc. when i am in a nightclub that has the older type smoke machines, the smoke is barely breathable for me. have to leave the room. we rented a smoke machine for a halloween party we had one year. you had to pour this clear liquid into it and i got some on my hands, then on my face, and it made my lips and eyes swell up like a mofo.

Interesting.

Glycerol is a normal chemical precursor for synthesis of triacylglycerols and of phospholipids in the liver and adipose tissue.

I'm curious why you'd have a reaction to it when it's part of normal body chemistry.

You have other allergies ?

it's ok in small doses. but in larger doses it is toxic for anybody.

im allergic to all kinds of shit. wheat, gluten, mold, latex...

i remember back in the old days, when i worked in an old print shop, we used to use liquid glycerine on our fingers when handling paper to help us sort thru sheets. i broke out in big welts all over my face.

You must be very sensitive to it, the human body creates it and releases it into the bloodstream anytime fat is converted.

Glycerol is toxic in extremely large doses, but you'd have to consume a very large amount.

So are you allergic to all the products in the consumer market that use glycerin ?

Please verify you're human:
