i tried the patch and then I tried chantix. i had some f'ed up dreams. I enjoyed most of them tho until the last one which was about 2 weeks ago. Man, now I know why people dont like nightmares. it was horrible.

anyways, I have got myself down to 4 smokes a day and should be smoke free by Friday with no withdrawl symptoms.

I like this thread and have personal pinned it. i like everyones encouragement and will need it. life is pretty stessful right now, all the more reason to want to smoke. New boss, kid in hospital, broke, etc. you know the drill.

I quit in 2003 when I got a jaw bone infection after getting my wisdom teeth removed @ 30. easiest way to quit but a horrible pain in the ass infection.

I started back in 2010 when by BFF died of breast cancer @ 39. had a smoke @ her funeral and have been going strong ever since. Funny thing is that when she knew she was dying she would occasionally have a glass of wine and a smoke and I rode her ass about it.

I hope she hears me when I say, 'Yes, I am an asshole.'

anyways, will be on here daily and will seek and provide encouragement. Now if I can only get my husband on board...
