There's a room in my home where I would wolf-down a smoke from time to time when the family was sleeping upstairs. Since putting down the smokes, I've thought of painting. When this thought comes to me, I recall your delight at painting a room clean after you quit the smokes. So, not only do I have the good fortune of knowing you these past two months, but I also get a good slap of motivation to paint. In boths cases, I win. Thanks for that.

I quit on January 14, 2013. I feel great. Planned to stop on the 4th of January, my birthday, but dragged it out until the 14th. I had a TIA (kid of stoke) and ended up in the ER. That motivated me to quit!!

Today has been a heavy number crunching day for me.
Needless to say, that creates a huge craving for a cig, as I always used to go for a smoke to think when I had a problem.

For some reason, I had it in my head that having a smoke would bring me clarity of mind, and sometimes it did.

I am having to fight off the automatic reflex to go have a cig right now.

Acckkk...I figured day 4 would be a cakewalk, guess not.

Please tell me it will get easier.

Thanks BX, I am doing very good. Leaving for Florida tomorrow to take care of some things. Weather change alone will lift my spirits. Keep up the good work on here, and stay positive. DF

I have faltered. One thing led to another and I was buying a pack last Thursday. Determined to make a new go of it on the morning. I had just over 3 weeks cold turkey, I can do it again. That is all for now.....
