I'm still here and still not smoking! Yea me! I have quests in town for a while but that doesn't mean I don't check in. Everyone who is beginning to not smoke - be sure to keep you eye on your sugar level.

Patagonia - No smoking since last Sunday is fantastic.

I hear you about the swings. I promise they pass. Just ride them out and give the people you love a wide berth. In the times you feel ok, make a point to tell them how much they matter to you. All the sluggish, restless, and irritiable moods lessen and before you know it you're going to be hit with waves of great gratitude you're no longer shackled to the smokes.

You'll never have to go through this again if you don't pick-up a smoke. It keeps getting better and better.

Great congratulations on your accomplishment. Hope we get to see you here again.

Actually, it's easier than I was expecting... so far. It helps that I was finally sick of the horrible tasting mouth, breath and fingers!

I basically was a smoke turd and decided that wasn't cool at all!

I will never forsake you, I just got busy for a while. As long as you keep busy and avoid the smokes for a few days more, your burden will weaken. It will, stay strong, believe in yourself, you deserve a healthy life. DF

I'll do that, i just hope there's not too much drinking around me this weekend.

I hear that... i had to quit drinking in order to quit smoking.

I am leaving on a much need trip to Florida tomorrow, be gone three weeks, but will check in when I have access. Fear not, BX and others will be here for you my friends. DF

Day 165. Kinda miss it sometimes. Not going back to it tho. Congrats to all who have been keeping up the good fight. Keep on being a bunch of quitters.

You've been through a lot personally with your health and your mother in laws health...

I am glad you will be in the sun and fresh air and positive vibes that Florida offers this time of year. 3 weeks is wonderful.

May you find peace, times of deep laughter, and times where you hear the seagulls or smell the sea (or bay/swamps) and just feel the joy of being alive.

To be smoke-free in the snow without a care or a count of how many smokes I have in the house. A jolly happy soul. No corncob pipe here.

Every day's a holiday, every meal's a feast.

I got a pretty funny corn cob pipe story from back when I was a 15.

Back in the day, me a a buddy, "JayBird" cut school and were roaming around town...eneded up in a pharmacy store and we bought corn cobs pipe and some tobacco. Then decided to cruise up by my house and sit on the front steps of the hospital and smoke our pipes. so there we were puffing away when my my drives by...slams on the breaks and says "Get Over here!"

I tried to hide my pipe in my pocket...but she mademe empty my pocket out. She says "What are you doing, smoking grass?!"

I was no, its a corn cob pipe...was smoking tobacco. Pretty sure i got my ass jacked and had to go home.

A week later I am at my dad's house and he says "So your mother says you were smoking a corn cob pipe..."

I was like great, my father and I never got along... I jsut said yeah...
Then he says" When I was your age, we made our own corn cob pipes" and he left it at that.

From that day on, me and my old man had a new understading..

Just checking in again. Over 4 months and counting now and still on the wagon. Got to try to lose a bit of weight now as I have put a few pounds on but it will be easy to go jogging as I wont be wheezing anymore.

I wife has cut down drastically but wont go the extra yet and completely give up. I will be glad not to find any more weed in the house one day.
