I love the description of Our Lord's mother Bernadette of Lourdes gave and the children at Fatima. They sound like wildhoney's description. It's so other realmish...how can you stand on a cloud?

This is what i saw...i saw a light..and inside the light a silhouette..i then could see it loooked like the Blessed Mother , in white, but she had Her back to me..then she slowly turned round..but without moving..she was on a very small cloud..and had a crown of big flower which also felll down Her left side..She looked down at me and smiled, just a slight gentle loving smile..and below the cloud She was standing there was floating a small star.

I have always been devoted to Fatima, but for some reason..dont ask me how or why..dunno..never had a statue of Her etc...so never really really noticed what. She looked like. Just devoted without an image of Her.

When i asked and checked online i realized it was Her

I now have a statue of Her and its exactly as I saw Her..the small cloud..even the star that is floating but its on Her gown..even how She is looking down and not straight ahead,as if from a height..except for the crown of flowers.

Ill describe Her face..
It was oval..she had healthy rosy cheeks and creamy skin. Her eyes were very big and loving..and beautiful,she had a small dainty nose..and a small pretty mouth..the smile was just perceivable..a slight up turn at the egdes of the mouth..but it was the eyes that smiled and spoke..the eyes that you couldnt tear your eyes away from..very gentle..very loving..understanding..comforting..they spoke..

She wasnt stunningly beautiful..but rather extremely pretty in a very gentle delicate way..very pure..innocent...wish we could see that in our everyday life in the expression of others...instead of this brashness we have grown accustomed to and which is termed self confidence

That is so wonderful..I expect She would be.
I imagine Her how She must have been back in those days..I imagine Her quite but with an amazing dignity and inner strength..I imagine Her house full of all the followers of Christ..and Christ..maybe She cooked for them..maybe that unconventional one mm helped Her cook for all of them:-)

I think of Her quiet..observant..Her loving eyes on Him..watching Him..loving Him..always in the shadows leaving Him to be who He was meant to be. The communication between them..one look and they both knew what the other was thinking..thats how I envision it..and how She probably looked always young.-more like a sister than a Mother.

It would be interesting to hear how others imagine how it was then..

Portugal...Italy...Spain..three cou tries who have been officially consecrated to the Immaculate Heart..in national ceremonies..with participation of both religious and political authorities..but with a significant difference in my opi ion..in these three countries there was a significant and specific reference to Our Lady of Fatima ..

In Portugal for obvious reasons..
In Spain the connexion was there and reference
In Italy there was the actual presence of tne statue of Our Lady of Fatima from portugal..that went in pilgrimage throughout Italy

These three nations in my opinion..because of this..though having difficulties etc..will be protected during the tribulation..I believe this..Our Lady of Fatima will protect them..as She protected Portugal from WwII..the consecration had taken place in1931

Sor Lucia..from Tuy Spain warned the Spanish Bishops of the terrible chastisement that was coming to Spain according to the messages she bad received from Our Lady..due to the laxity in the faith etc..this was later confirmed in the tragic civil war..

In 1954..on the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun the solemn irrevocable ceremony of consecration took place..for Spain

In 1959 Italy followed..and chose to have it peformed with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima present in the nation

I believe there is a special grace and power that comes from devotion to Our Lady of Fatima..and protection if the consecration is performed with this in mind
