I have an original tens made in 1980's still works. found second hand 5 years ago... smoking deal... I like having dual channel outputs... can use two sets of pads. Look for one where you can manually set the pulse rate and the frequency... the preset ones suck... never find exactly the right setting. Reusable silicone carbon pads are best... u can wash them... had mine for years... remember to get the right gel for the Pads to work. Better quality drug stores. If you want to test them some of the women's clinics and some health store's rent them out...for pregnant issues... a way to test them and see if it does work for you... I like mine... some days it clouds the pain sights like nothing else... Silver capitalist, facist, nazi, communist, socialist, militarist, religious nutbars...family nuked, gassed,or robbed by all of them. history never lies but but men who write it do. take the man away you have the truth... ...grandpa stole first MIG17 in 52.. |

The chiropractor has me hooked up, puts down a paper towel then an ice pack before starting the tens unit up. Im not sure if it makes much difference, but ice packs might help. I'd avoid heating elements to avoid burns. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 28806063 12/01/2012 06:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also used to have tens units made back in the 80's, then suddenly they weren't available to the public anymore, only to chiropractors or doctors... so I sort of forgot about them when mine wore out. I would be interested in getting a unit again if they're available Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27531391 Yes. I think they got classified as medical devices so folks could tax the crap out of them. I bought one through a chiro years ago and it was like $200 a decade ago I think. Maybe more. It truly looks and feels like it should be about $7.95 at radio shack though. I'm confident they can be gotten somewhere cheap. Muscle stimulators are worse on the pocket but also very effective for what they do. I think they run over a thousand bucks each when they should really be more like $40 or $60 and I'm sure at one point along the way they are. |

[link to www.ebay.com.au] [link to www.ebay.com.au] [link to www.ebay.com.au] [link to www.ebay.com.au] I have a TENS and an Infrared light, I favor the light. It works in a deeper soothing way, the TENS zapping does not bring any pain relief in my case. |

I guess if Tens worked for me it would be gReAT. It, however, sadly, does not. It irritates the shit out of me. Mah drugs work JUSt fine, thank you. I wish i could sell it. It cost 700 damn dollars (lol@work comp)-I should be able to get 1 or 2 hundy out of it...idk where to sell it though.. |
