ALERT! Oar Fish beaches itself in Cabo San Lucas - Precursor to big EQ!
Heads up along the coast near Cabo San Lucas. An Oar fish beached itself on Friday. These fish are deep sea dwellers and sightings of them are considered a precursor sign of a big earthquake in Japan. Sightings of them occurred prior to the big quake in March 2011!

"But in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, another bizarre find was made Friday: that of an oarfish, which washed ashore on bustling Medano Beach, which features a view of the end of the Baja California peninsula."

Yes, they really only come up when the floor of the ocean is disturbed. Here are some links to articles of sightings of then in Japan;

So this place looks out towards the Baja Peninsula? Interesting that it has surfaced near to that region that often sees quakes.

found this regarding Oar fish and Japan quakes...

[link to www.telegraph.co.uk]
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25481352

"According to traditional Japanese lore, the fish rise to the surface and beach themselves to warn of an impending earthquake - and there are scientific theories that bottom-dwelling fish may very well be susceptible to movements in seismic fault lines and act in uncharacteristic ways in advance of an earthquake - but experts here are placing more faith in their constant high-tech monitoring of the tectonic plates beneath the surface.

"In ancient times Japanese people believed that fish warned of coming earthquakes, particularly catfish," Hiroshi Tajihi, deputy director of the Kobe Earthquake Centre, told the Daily Telegraph."

So with the Japanese oarfish. They were all beached or caught in nets on the northern side of Japan. The great quake happened on the other side of Japan. To me, this means that if a large quake does happen its not necessarily right next door to where the oarfish rise.

I'm not sure of distances, but the area of a suspected quake could be a few hundreds miles away from the beachings. This could put the quake further up the Baja and off California? How many miles is that?

Just thinking of the thread hearing noises in San Diego again and wondering if that distance is too far away.
