Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19091390 I'd say 10 years ago or so while living with my parents still we had a radio with cassette player in the kitchen. We didn't have a dishwasher so we would often do dishes while listening to music or a cassette. Anyways, grew up in Ohio so i'm an Ohio State fan. They happened to be playing Michigan State, and i decided to listen to it on the radio. Well, after it was over i turned it off, i know i did. Later on that evening i was watching TV all alone downstairs when i started to hear music. I was like " Where the hell is that coming from? ". Walked slowly towards the music, but of course was coming from the kitchen. Proceeded to turn it off. It was playing music from a cassette, which was Creed - " What If ". ------------- Another occasion was i was on our PC late at night one evening, again all alone. My mother came down one night to get something to drink. She walks into the kitchen when all of a sudden she says," Why is the backdoor wide open? " to which i replied, " What are you talking about? ". Sure enough it was, but what was strange about it is we never unlocked that door. Our house was built in the 1920's and i've heard of some lady dying there. Not sure if it was her, or something else. I am really not of fan of radios, stereos or lights turning themselves on and off and especially not a fan of doors opening on their own - (shudder) Thank you for sharing. Quoting: nineteeneightyfive TALK ABOUT SCAREY...\VERY INTERESTING ...BTW.... Yes, interesting. I fear all these suicide videos are encouraging other young girls toward the path that death is the way out. Funny, how most I have seen are beautiful, thin and socially attractive young women. Sad. Turtles Voice (OP) User ID: 15791612 United States 10/26/2012 06:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Scary story? More like scary reality, I see spirits. I see the evil that lives among us. I am an empathetic. I see different vibrations of things, can hear beings and even the thoughts of those around me. Halloween is everyday for me! Quoting: Chosenwarrior4God Yeah me too. I don't see spirits as much as feel the energy. Funny how that energy comes from places you'd least expect it. Karlos User ID: 26473041 United Kingdom 10/29/2012 06:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The following is true - it happened to me.... I'm an amateur astronomer, and I regularly take a telescope way out of town to avoid urban light-pollution. One night I was at one of my usual 'dark-sites' - a clearing in the woods ('Stang' forest in Northern England). The clearing is about 50 yards across, roughly circular, and gravel-surfaced, with a fence around the perimeter, and trees beyond, all the way round, apart from the entrance. It is 100% pitch-dark in there if there's no Moon, and there's no people, apart from an occasional farm, for several miles around. The night in question was around the time of New-moon (that's the best time for deep-sky astronomy) and all around me was VERY dark. Anyways.... about an hour into my observing session, I hear rustling in the undergrowth, beyond the fence, maybe 30 yards to my right. "Just an animal" I think - I hear them up there all the time, and just dissmissed it. But then the noises keep coming, more regularly, louder.... And then I hear a low growl... By now it's getting to me a bit, but trying to stay calm - thinking sensibly, I know it's nothing to worry about. But alone, in pitch-dark, with no-one for miles around.... You start to imagine things..... In the end, I got out a white-light torch (flashlight) - astronomers usually use dim red light so as to avoid losing my dark adapted vision, so if I was using white-light - that shows how spooked I was. I shone it in the general direction of the noises - and over at the edge of the clearing I could see the reflection of a pair of eyes, maybe 5 feet up from ground level... I nearly crapped myself.... For what seemed like forever, but was probably only a few seconds, I just panic-froze. Do I run? Do I challenge the intruder? I had half a pool-cue in the back of the car, did I have time to get it if I was rushed? I was on the point of jumping in the car, and leaving two-grand's worth of telescope and eyepieces behind, when the 'eyes' dropped to ground level, and I saw the culprit. A flippin' cat, with a field-mouse in it's mouth (explained the noises) had been sitting on top of a fence-post. After that experience, I now always take my dog with me if I'm observing alone - he's a big softy, but looks mean (Pitbull crossbreed) OK - I know it's not really a story about spooks.... But I WAS spooked to hell for a couple of minutes - LOL . Last Edited by Karlos on 10/29/2012 06:49 PM |
