I like many things about Buddhism, don't get me wrong, but I do think there is a widely held belief that they can do no wrong, and that we should all aim for the values of Buddhism.

It disturbs me that it is so accepted, without question,
and that conversely, Catholicism is seen as evil without question, 'self-evidently' as someone remarked.

I go to a yoga class and have to sit through a prayer chant in Hindi, I don't know who the prayer is to, or what it means, so I don't join in, but I can imagine the uproar if the 'Hail Mary' was said anywhere apart from private or in a Catholic Church.

Why has Buddhism taken over so much of my culture's spiritual expression and thinking?
I don't like the idea that we aim for detachment, I want to be attached to people and all that life is.
I don't like whole communities aiming for personal enlightenment, nothing will get done!
