Well, racist comments in this thread aside, the "War on Drugs" has been a disaster for black males. And one has to wonder if it is intentional...

From what I've read, many states list even simple possession of marijuana as a felony offense, so an 18-year old kid can done for a few grams of weed and then be well and truly fucked for life. Their kids then grow up in poverty because their dad can't get a job, and the cycle repeats itself ad nauseum.

It is a system designed to create a permanent criminal underclass, and the politicians and "law and order" mouth-breathers who vote for them just keep compounding the problem.
