.........................................It keeps the grocery stores open,the cashiers,stock people,and managers jobs going,keeps the food companies going because wouldnt be much sold if not for food stamps,produce companies,egg farms,even truckers that deliver the loads.
Lots and lots of jobs gone if people cant afford food.
Total industries will collapse without food stamps......................

Well said.There is abuse for sure but some/families need it as a stop gap because of lost jobs etc-Jobs lost because of economic/bank problems -and jobs sent overseas.

The program is needed BUT needed most is tightening up the
supervision of the program and get out the cheaters.
