I have a question.....is space infinite? Is mater/energy infinite?

From our current knowledge, I believe our universe is not infinite, but there are an infinite amount of universes. So no to the first and yes to the second.

I am of the belief that space is only created as needed. Space is only created when something pushes through it, which creates Space-time continuum. Without matter in that space, there is no space, or time. Space is clever, it expands as needed, where needed, anytime matter travels or flows through it, including light. With every system that is created, efficiency is one of the most important aspects of that creation. It would be incredibly inefficient to create an infinite space with nothing in it. Therefore, space is not infinite, but possibly infinite in it's expansion. I think that is the better question to ask.

Then what's outside it? God?
