45 psi,3 bar.. not much but odd behavior for a gas well as pressure increase can only happen from inflow of incompressible fluids, increase in temperature or a decrease in well volume.

all options seem to have quite dark consequenses in the setting of salt dome collapse etc..

Hmmm you seem to be in the know...groucho

These are the well logs for Texas oil and gas district 5. District 5 is the area these recent quakes in Texas have been happening. Almost all of those wells have high resistivity levels. [link to rrcsearch.neubus.com]

For those of you are unfamiliar with resistivity logging it is how fluids like oil and gas are measured, and they do this by measuring a wells electrical resistance. With high resistivity, that means the electrical energy from the Earth is strong in that area. [link to en.wikipedia.org]

If the earths magnetic field is moving around more then usual due to the NEO's flying by, the sun or whatever it might be its going to effect areas where there is a lot of oil, gas and water underground. Hints the earthquake in Maine the other day. Maine has lots of water under it.

Most of this stuff is above my pay grade, but I know with all the people who work in oil and gas field some of you might have more information for us. Especially, if there are any Petroleum geologist in the house...

Here is the EPA's more detailed explanation of resistivity log - [link to www.epa.gov]
