It appears to me that they connected 2 oil/gas layers when they drilled the Macondo well and then sealed it. Now all the ultra hi-pressure gas and oil is heading up the New Madrid fault. It's getting into all the upper oil and gas structures and and aquifers. Doomamis Maximus Quoting: Phillip J. Fry I think so too! A similar accident happened in Germany, when they drilled thru a dry gypsum layer into a pressured water cavern. Gypsum expands when getting wet. The village above the borehole is now slowly breaking apart due to the expansion.
