There were only maybe 40 people in the entire area. The one that lived on the hill used to sit there with a telescope spying on the other ones at all hours. She once asked me about something I was doing in my yard at 3 AM the prior morning...so it really was ALL hours. She single-handedly managed to turn half the neighbourhood into paranoid schizos. The whispered conversations they'd have with me about the "one who watched" with the quick glances over their shoulders..twilight zone. |

Quoting: The Light Under the Door I sense a Steven King or Clive Clustler novel afoot. "The one who watched" in a small down in New Hampshire from atop the local hill/mountain covered by heavy undergrowth. After realizing we were back somewhere in our conversation she revealed to me how she stands on her 2nd floor blacony and views the area with her binoculars, hmmff, wr are spread out here, I feel invaded. stop blamming, start doing something for yourself. whites wont always be here to support you. |

One minute everything's all hunky dory, you're having supper with the neighbors, then before you know it you've been skinned alive and decorated with your own intestines and hung up by your feet from the rafters in somebody's barn while people square-dance around you to hillbilly violin music. |
