Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25536726 That's based on what you saw on the screen. Only the sensors in his suit will tell the final story... fuck his suit. not even had a head cam in it. and no he didnt break it. |

You don't know what you are talking about: "The speed of sound varies inversely with the square root of the density of the medium through which it travels. As the density of air changes with altitude the speed of sound also changes." |

So, if you don't believe in science, how can you possible care about the speed of sound? You do know that it was SCIENCE that discovered it in the first place, right? After I typed this sentence I realized that I think I might be talking to a kid. I should probably stop. Go read a book. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24469727 Canada 10/14/2012 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just curious ... Why was there no visual, like has been see in other circumstances where there is an arc like presence when the 'sound barrier' is broken? Why was there no audio recorded 'boom' during the free fall? ...and if what others are saying, regarding the difference in air, would 'sound' not travel faster in such an atmosphere were there is MUCH LESS RESISTANCE? I'm not saying either way it was all real, or cgi or anything, I am just curious in the conversation. Anyone who could explain these things in laymans terms and at the end still sound resonable? Appreciated. |
