Re: I was a personal assistant to a major star
I left last week after 7 years. I'm thinking of writing a book about everything but am sort of afraid to reveal who it is and the things they did. Some VERY sketchy things but it's a pretty damn powerful person with even more powerful "friends." So what does GLP think? Should I write about what I witnessed? Should I reveal who I worked for? Is it legal if I do? What does GLP think?

Re: I was a personal assistant to a major star
I did have to sign a confidentiality agreement. That's why I was asking if it was legal. I should have clarified, sorry. But much of the stuff that I witnessed/heard about were highly illegal activities. I thought maybe that made the contract null or something. Just a guess, not a lawyer so don't bash me haha. I used to write down things as they happened over the years. I still have my little journal of everything. There were some things I may have forgot to write down, but for the most part I have it all. Some of the stuff isn't illegal, but it's really disturbing. I know some of you mentioned telling some stories without saying who it is and I guess I could do that but I'm waiting on a ride real quick so it'll be maybe an hour or so before I get back.

Of course GLP wants the inside scoop on your work with a major star. Especially if you can give us insights into Bohemian Grove, the Illuminati, Satan worship, and things like it. Give us more details and we'll tell you if we'll buy the book.

Re: I was a personal assistant to a major star
it depends.

if the illegal activities are harming children (example: molestation) then I would spill the beans so no more innocent children/people would be hurt in the future.

BUT if you are just spilling the beans to make a quick buck off some shady illegal money laundering or drug dealings I would reconsider that if I were you. They have killed people over lesser betrayals.

People are fucked up... It doesn't matter who it is. The more "professional" they claim or perceived to be, the more fucked up they are behind closed doors.

Stop giving people the benefit of the doubt. They ALWAYS show they're true colors and you can always predict there movements and actions.

Nothing to see here... Just someone starved for attention who cant keep their mouth shut about anything. You're no better then your "major star."

Re: I was a personal assistant to a major star
Ok. So here's one little story that I found odd. Oh, and it's a guy. Let's call him "Bob."

Ok so Bob was dating this middle aged woman, which was surprising since most of his "dates" were really young. He usually didn't "date" anyone for too long. This woman had a son and daughter. The daughter was maybe 16 and the son was about 20. To be honest, I thought Bob was dating her to get the 16 year old girl, as he tended to do that type of thing (and worse) a LOT. So one day the mother, son, and daughter come over for a small, private dinner party. A couple hours into the evening I went upstairs to grab some things. Anyway, to make a long story short, I saw Bob and a political friend of his "running a train" on Bobs girlfriends son while the mother sat in the same room. I know it doesn't sound like much (other than a sick mother) because I'm sure a lot of celebrities are gay or do homophobic stuff, but Bob is someone I would have NEVER guessed was this way. People in the public would have never thought this either, I'm sure of it.

So that's just a small example. It wasn't anything illegal, I know, but more of just an example of how sick this guy was day to day.

Write it as a novel instead of "Fact"...
Just include all the facts with different "character names"
and don't worry about it.

Then during your press junkets you can mention that you used to work for a powerful celeb and drew from your experiences to write the novel.

Re: I was a personal assistant to a major star
I frequently go to major antique auctions in the US and around the world and I have a list of customers who are looking for specific items. I bid on their behalf, close the sale if successful and then resell the item to the real buyer for a nice mark-up. Generally I can get major pieces at somewhere between 30 and 50% back of their retail value. Often times more. So the 15% I collect seems like a real bargain for my services.

The celebs I work with (and there are several) who are willing to retain my services almost always ask that I sign a "non-disclosure" agreement before they formally retain my services. I have spent as much as sixty-million dollars on an estate in the UK for a celeb buyer. Had the auction house known who the real buyer was, the price would have gone even higher. I am forbidden by contract to reveal the details of any client, their name, amount spent, or items acquired for a period of 20 years after the date of any sale or purchase made by them. Most lawyers assure me that the contracts would stand up in court if ever contested and taken to court.

The point being tat most celebs have some sort of confidentiality agreement signed by all of their staff. Violate it at your own risk. One gal I know was a personal assistant to a well known female celeb. She wrote a book (a tell-all) and got a big advance from a publisher. The celeb found out about the book and sued - got a restraining order and was able to enforce the confidentiality agreement and stopped the book being published. The blabbermouth assistant was left bankrupt, unable to pay back the book advance, sued by the publisher for breach of contract, and spent the entire thing trying to get out of the contract she had signed when she took the job.

Bottom line is that he or she with the best attorney's wins. And good lawyers are NOT EVER CHEAP! Think retainer of $25 to $50 thousand and monthly billing of Ten to Twenty grand per month for a year while the case is going thru the courts. Then far more when it goes to trial! Most people cannot dream of footing such bills.
