Well,

The Hubble telescope is in space. It can see stars, distant galaxies and probably UFOs.

How do you seperate stars from satelites which are LITERRED worldwide in Earths orbit? You can't. There is no real telling what a star is unless you have a good telescope, or are superhuman and can breathe up there to see yourself.

Stay skeptical, the Government will lie wholeheartedly to maintain intellectual control.

Satellites move. Rather quickly in fact. I often see satellites when out observing, they can be seen with the naked eye easily. Assuming that you are in a dark enough location.

Re: Why are stars not visible in space?
There is a difference between the human eye and a daylight camera.

You can ask any military pilot and they will tell you that stars start to come out in daylight at about 50,000 feet.

A daylight camera in that environment would white out if it were adjusted to see stars.

And so you shouldn't believe everything you see on Network TV either. And just because it's not on TV, it doesn't mean it ain't so.

Why are stars not visible in space?
 Quoting: Botanator

For the same reason that space is freezing, the upper atmosphere is freezing. For the same reason that the sun and moon appear big or small depending where it is in the horizon to your perspective, for the same reason that some stars twinkle.
It is all down to the atmosphere, the energy of the sun interacts with the energy of the earth and produces heat, the earth atmosphere also allows you to see the light from distant light sources, it is all down to the atmosphere.
For the same reason that the sun does not give off heat, it gives off energy which causes a reaction in the earth atmosphere which produces heat. The closer to the ground, the hotter it is because the mass of earth causes gravity which causes a greater rate of energy movement which causes heat etc.
But the main reason is, that the cameras are too weak to pick up the light levels of stars outside the atmosphere so space appears dark. It is the atmosphere with all it's chemical reactions with it's energy that heighten the appearance of light sources.

Agreed, local government here has spent the past few years installing full-cutoff light fixtures which put the light where it is wanted, instead of old style fixtures which bleed light in all directions. Support them in your area and get your friends and family to do the same.

It really helps. I am on the edge of the light dome of a large airport, but the new fixtures have made viewing stars noticeably easier.

People have already began questioning Felix Baumgartner's jump. One reason is because 'there are no visible stars'.

you are able to see with your own eyes. problem is always the cam because the light of the stars is too dim.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25614439

you need a very long exposure time to record stars. try with your own iphone hd cam or whatever good cam you have.

They are, as long as there's no brighter glare drowning them out.
 Quoting: The Guy

well something catch my eye on this, because true the glare of course can affect being able to see dimmer objects, still, why we can see planets and even stars on daylight when the sun is shinning, wouldnt it be much more glare that didnt allow us to see any star whatsoever?
