I've missed a few pages, but IIRC someone here, or on one of the sinkhole posts, said it might be tied to Project Thor:

Read about something alluding to this being a 'test' of the weapon against hardened/bunker targets (think Iran's nuclear projects [link to www.jpost.com] ), tie it in with the fact that the X37B was just launched as part of a top secret mission:

The article has an update saying that the vehicle will be launched in late Oct., but maybe it went up early.

What if it was a bunker that was destroyed, but it was intentionally done so to test the effectiveness of the weapon and the delivery system prior to engaging Iran?

Just throwin' out ideas.
