Quoting: alexisj9 Finally I knew you were in this thread for some reason, why didn't you just say your on topic bit in the first place. We find you weird, yet endearing. What pisses me off is... You're right. I decidedly disliked this guy, as it seemed he was hijacking threads, but some inert intuition dragged me into reading some sense in all his CRAP. < To which I hate admitting. I'm on the verge of checking his damn "777" post.. I so agree. It is as if suddenly some light within me has gone which is now capable of understanding his deeper meaning. How astonishing the transition for irritation, annoyance to respect and a willingness to see more. I wish Harmony, Love, Truth and Justice for all my brothers and sisters. I'll look for it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22573986 Thanks! Please explain to me what a "nuclear like explosion found on radar" is. I'm dying to hear your response... Bonus points: Explain how stored nuclear material turns in to an explosive device. These are probably the radar images in question, the last one from eight hour later: [link to s184.photobucket.com] what they show i have no idea, yet, the signature stayed for quite a long time I'm well aware of what Doppler radar captured. It's not unusual to capture smoke clouds on radar at all. Happens all the time during significant fires. What I'm asking of you, or the original owner of the statement is...what the heck does "nuclear" have to do with it. I'm dying to know how radar distinguished between a nuclear explosion, a normal smoke cloud, or even a storm cloud. BTW, the radar images you linked to are nothing more than back-scatter from the base station. Happens all the time under the right conditions. |

Wow, someone just got ticked off about the word "nuclear" now didn't they? I said "nuclear like" , as in a "shit-ton of force", get it? There were some posters back in this thread suggesting that the radar images had this type of signature. And NO, I'm not about to go back and find where someone said that. So I tell you what, go get yourself off to a nice little anger management class, where 10 people all sit in a nice little circle and one by one, yell the word "nuclear" to you. Once you're done having your little kinipshin fits over it all, and can keep a level head, come on back over to this thread and, oh I don't know, contribute? |

And would they be really that stupid to do a test that close to population? unless they're testing the resolve of the populace also. theyve know about iranian underground i would think the gov would rather pay a contractor millions to build some deep underground bunkers in the desert and then blow them up. |
dschis1000 User ID: 19590683 United States 10/18/2012 11:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This event is driving me nuts. I feel like there's a truth dangling juuuuuust in front of me that I could see if I had more knowledge about weather patterns, explosives, meteorites, etc. So I've done my best to whittle this massive thread down into the basic (hopefully) unspun points in the hopes that those of you here that DO have expertise may see a connection that's been muddled in the multitude of posts and deliberate spin and disinformation that seems to be going on. Sorry for the length of this post, but I hope you'll see something you may have missed before. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1498968 Basically verifiable (including some changes to reports) Eyewitness reports of seeing something (meteor / shooting star) with or without tail in the sky as far away as TX an hour before explosion. Eyewitnesses also describe “low and moving at a fast pace”, “it was very low, I almost believed it was a plane”, and “white, yellow. My husband saw green.” “I saw what looked like an airplane are shooting star moving at high rate of speed then I saw the object break into 2 pieces must have been the boom when it broke apart” NWS reports something strange or a plum (also seen it called plume?). Gives coordinates to authorities to verify. Coordinates at Elmer Moore Burton Rd. OP stated GPS puts it 1500 feet into the woods. GLP Medic reports Baton Rouge NWS radar down at 2:07 AM USGS shows no activity large enough to register as an earthquake. Earwitness reports close to and in Minden that heard something zoom by their homes. Also reported the sound like debris hit several locations, often no debris found immediately after. News claims black sooty ashes that fell apart easily if you tried to touch it. Loud boom just before 11:30 PM. (it was originally 11:26, but the link has changed. This later changed to just before 11:40) Explosion heard as far away as East Texas. Eyewitness reports of a bright light flash in the sky along with the boom. One eyewitness, Shana Levick reports the sky lit up a bright orange color and small fire sparks above the tree lines. GLP'er (sorry forget name) stated they could find no record of this person. The rest of the witnesses seem to say bright light flash. ArkLaTexhomepage.com says reports of a fireball, but that's the only source I saw on that, may be exaggeration of orange glow and licks of flame? Witnesses state they were thrown out of bed or felt like their homes were hit with something. Due to possibility of a meteorite, Barksdale Air Force Base investigates. States whatever the source it did not originate at the base. Early news reports state the Webster Deputy Bobby Igo checked with all ammo plants and bunkers in the area and they are all fine. (This later disappeared from stories) Windows blown out, possible structural damage to at least one home. Facebook posts claim to smell sulfur 12:34 Public information statement from NWS, Shreveport – Webster Parish officials (not NWS) reported an incident involving a flash in the sky followed by broken windows in area homes and people knocked out of their beds. Presumed it occurred W of Dixie Inn. Vibrations felt as far W as Shreveport. Other reports stated the officials were following up on intel from NWS. Not sure on time, but NWS eventually states radar captured images of plume caused by explosion at 11:28, 11:37, 11:47 11:56 and 12:06 AM. They place coordinates at 35.578 N, -93.351 W, inside Camp Minden. They say the analysis shows the plume was as high as almost 7,200 feet above ground level. They say the image is very similar to what you'd find with smoke from wildfires, but more vertical and concentrated. It traveled SE to NW at approx 10 mph and dissipated after approx 34 minutes. 1:15 AM KSLA update states Sheriff Gary Sexton states “definitely had something happen”, but confirms all of the explosion manufacturing facilities and natural gas facilities in Webster Parish have been ruled out as the source. Story includes Shana Levick account and “another witness” that saw something flash across the sky streaming from the W or SW direction and a bright flash that lasted for awhile. Tweet at 1:29 says local TV station says they saw a metorite on I-20 in Dixie Inn at Mile Marker 44, but tweeter can't confirm. Bossier Parish 911 says lights are dimming. GLP Patient.Zer0 shares twitter saying it was a power plant in Doyline that blew up. GLP Livingood says no lights dimming in DFW at 2:38 Confirmed by an AC After 2 AM OP posted that reports coming in it was Ammo factory near Shreveport & Mendin. Yet previous statement from Sheriff was that they had all been cleared. 2:30 AM The Shreveport Times states Northwest Louisiana authorities spokesman said may be meteorite. States large number of reports stating they saw something come down instead of something blow up. Sheriff Gary Sexton states it's too dark for further search and thermal-imaging cameras showed nothing off Elmo Burton Loop near Dixie Inn, will resume search in AM with helicopters. Sexton said he was driving in the Springhill-Cullen area when he was two flashes from the south. GLP Pahelion at 3:04 says he lived beside the ammo plant when it blew up some years ago and the experience was not remotely the same. When ammo plant blew, MASSIVE sonic boom with strong percussion like you'd expect from a big ugly old bomb. Tonight's “shaking” was far more like an earthquake, deep but somewhat quiet rumble like thunder and a back and forth ground sway. No wind percussion. Burn Ban put in effect for the Parish that morning. Press conference scheduled for 9 am. Postponed to 11 am. Canceled. Reports claim Explo representatives did not show up. Reported attempts to contact Explo result in no answer or no comment. 9 am KSLA (local news) reports they've been told it was an underground Explo bunker. Possibly related 2 UFO sightings in the general area that evening. Both reported a blue glow. Bayou Corne Sinkhole approx. 200 mi away. About 300 miles to drive, but straight line looks more like 200 to me. There are reports of a large aquifer that may help connect the two Report linked considering storing nuclear material in a salt mine only 30 miles from Minden. Report basically said it was too risky to the environment, but the report was from the 90's and I don't think we've seen anything updated since then, so they may have changed their minds or perhaps stored something else. AC at 2:52 am The Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant (still managed onsite but no munitions are made there anymore)was listed as a Superfund site on the National Priorities List on March 31, 1989.[2] The United States Environmental Protection Agency found that the ground water was contaminated by explosive wastes including cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX) and trinitrotoluene (TNT).[3] EPA reports show the explosives seeped into the DEEP Wilcox Aquifer.
