I fret asking this question because I risk sounding stereotypical - and I am admitting ignorance here, but...


Do black people think violence such as stick ups, theft, fighting is not as bad as white people (or the law) make it out to be?

For instance, I get VERY offended when someone decides to tell me that I cant legally buy any damn plant I want, including the buds from a hemp plant. To me, the idea of someone telling you what you legally can or cant do with your own body is the essence of fascism. However, I also hold very dearly the idea that laws should only exist to prevent one person from harming another person's body or physical property - and therefore picking fights with girls and breaking their arms is just plain wrong.

So, does black culture feel that every child is going to fight and hurt each other anyway by course of nature so therefore violence is just part of growing up an should not be a crime?
