And there is something about the accent does not indicate Appalachia, or the South.

If I had to take a wild guess -- and this is nothing but sheer speculation -- I tend to think that these may be descendants of Arkansawyers or Oklahomans that fled the Dustbowl of the 1930s and relocated to Washington or Oregon.

Here in Oklahoma, "redneck" is not a flattering term, but it does imply self-sufficiency.

"Rednecks" work and support themselves. They are uneducated, not necessarily intelligent, but usually work at manual labor jobs, and take care of their families. Backwoodsmen.

"White Trash" is slovenly and parasitic, living off welfare and disability (usually fraudulent). They are often criminals, and always destructive.

Agreed, the characters in the video are white trash, not rednecks.
