Why do mutual funds invest our pensions so heavily in China?

Maybe it's because executives like Mitt Romney, working for companies like Bain capital, decided for themselves that the grass was greener (and investments more profitable) in China. They probably didn't think very hard about whom the money they invested would ultimately benefit, either.

If enough folks like Mittens continue investing abroad instead of in the US, there won't be enough business going on here to be worthy of investment. Cotton was a great investment here too, when there were slaves growing and picking it. Someone here needs to introduce capitalist sensibilities and moralities here to a renewed nationalism, and I don't mean by investing in China. You don't build a stronger US by investing in China. They already have a numerical advantage. Whom do you think is going to finance THEIR pensions?

It's not about our pensions, stupid. Invest in OUR children's future, not China's. All of our children can't work in the military. What sort of vision of the future is that? North Korea's, perhaps? We need real leadership that will stop following stupid herds and think for themselves for a change.
