If anyone here is in the LA area or in East Texas or up further into the New Madrid zone, please contribute to this thread and tell us if ANYTHING unusual or noteworthy is going on. Thanks and let's keep the info flowing. OP  I'm in sw Arkansas and since the storms started there is a very strong odor that I compare to a black magic marker smell even in my vehicle so strong it gave me a headache anyone in sw Arkansas notice strange odor or fumes Thank you for that feedback . . . Is there anything going on nearby that would cause it or do you personally attribute it to anything specific? Have you spoken to others in your immediate area who also smell it? If you can, keep reporting on this thread I have not spoken to anyone else.. But I thought it was just something wrong with my car then my boyfriend said the same thing when he got home..smelled the same odor, thought it was his truck. He called it an electrical burning smell, I say magic marker smell. But either way there are no nearby chemical plants and I have never smelled this odor in the air around here. Just odd.
