Re: CNN poll shows Obama debate victory
Wolf Blitzer just now going into detailed questions...

Romney won on the economy, jobs, taxes, deficit...

but Obama won the debate.

Paraphrasing Wolf... "this is a scientific poll. 33% democrats, 33% republicans. That's 8% higher for republicans than our typical poll, so this won is skewed heavier to Republicans."

What's the actual breakdown on Dems vs Reps ?

Here is your stats to back you up. Pretty damning for Obummer really. Enjoy the win, but these numbers are far more important

WHo would handle the economy better 58-40% Romney

Who would handle health care better 49-46 Romney

Who would better handle taxes 51-44% romney

Who would better handle the deficit 59-36% Romney
 Quoting: spoof

Absolutely devastating numbers for Hussein Obama. Romney in a landslide. Unnnngghhhhh, sha na na nah!

Romney kept going on about how he was going to give tax breaks to the middle class. So the remaining factor for voters to decide on is his anti-abortion/religious stance.

Surprised no one has pointed this out:

1) CNN International

2) Only 457 people polled.

So what... they opened up an internet poll for like 1 second - 457 people is nothing for an internet poll - and closed it immediately as soon as they saw Obama in the lead?

And, of course Obama is going to lead if you let the European fanboys vote!

I made the mistake of watching the Debate on CNN.com. Under the screen, was a continuous line of so-called undecided voters.

It didn't take too long to notice that they hated Romeny when he spoke against Obama, but the same crowd didn't mind too much when Obama criticized Romney.

They were also giving Obama high marks for his answer regarding the attack on the embassy. His answer was actually bad.

They reacted neutrally regarding Fast & Furious when they should have been mad as hell at Obama and given Romney high marks.

Yeah, they were undecided - riiiiiiight.

1st debate. Big win for Romney, shocked and awed Obama through pure supersonic Bullshit.

2nd debate. Minor win for Obama. More forceful and Romney made a couple of tactical mistakes.

VP debate angry Biden annihilated charlatan Ryan.

It may be decided by debate no.3.

Exciting!

Thanks... I think in debates, unlike most theaters, are decided by te appraisal of the loser... who loses te debate. Especially in politics, and most especially with these two. Whoever doesn't sound most ridiculously ridden with repitition, the one who most avoids cliches, and doesnt like a complete idiot when refusing to answer a straight question with a straight answer, but rather ramble on about an area near the specifics mentioned in the question, then eventually get into a dull, bs response... and then use the word champeen (champion) and five point plan! So, whoever doesn;t look like a fool wins... which means that all debates are defined by the loser... all debates are lost, there's no winner, just a loser. ;-)

That CNN poll is rigged. I went to their website right after the debate to vote. I voted 4 times for Romney and it didn't accept my votes. Keep saying 0 votes for Romney.
It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense. They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage. — Isaac Asimov

Hey OP - you inspired me to change my ways. I am going to pencil in my dog on the ballot on election day. If you think I am being obtuse or unrealistic, tell me how that is any different than what you are planning on doing. At least this way, I will actually have a dog in the fight, he just won't matter.
