My Aunt Was shot & killed by a handgun in the late 1990's she lived for one week so I got to see the real aftermath of what a gun really does.

You've obviously never seen what a sword, club, knife or hammer can do to someone...

Criminals are not "well-armed", by comparison.

The general public are well-armed beyond your comprehension. You grossly underestimate the ammunition stockpiles that the 'general public' have amassed. Don't believe me? Look at the annual sales numbers.

Visit some rural folks that truly understand this issue. They been stockpiling for decades, not just years.

You're laboring under the fatal misconception that the general public will agree to any law that renders gun-ownership illegal. They might fold in the liberal North-Eastern states, but - you're making a huge mistake if you think that this a national attitude.
