Quoting: -GooGooFlexy- Once you discover that you aren't going to find salary jobs, you'll find that you're over-qualified for everything else. Sheep think that they are automatically entitled to a good job because the school told them they were. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1361203 United States 10/17/2012 07:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Going to school doesn't guarantee a job...learning to do something that someone is willing to pay you for does... Quoting: BRIEF Brief speaks the truth ... My daughter has a Bachelors in BIO Research and a Masters in BIO Engineering and had 4 job offers before she graduated My son has dual degrees also Mechanical and Industrial Engineering ... he to had numerous job offers before he graduated. If you go into the heavy science/engineering areas you will get a job ... provided you have the grades ... The down side, if you want to call it that is ... they busted their asses to get where they are today. And to get where they are a person had better be strong in math. The people I know that were strong in the sciences were like that as children. It is something I believe a person has a talent in and just needs some education to get them started. It is not something a person can just become. You are a 'math' geek or you aren't. Same for artists, people in sports, acting etc. Find your strong points and build upon them. I agree on the math ... both of my kids have minors in math (they each needed 1 or 3 additional credits). Even though they pick up the concepts easily, they still had to bust their butts to apply the theory to graduate. |
