Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1202994 Is this a high demand specialty likely to lead to a "good job"? Decent job considering all the old people need more and more physical therapists. If a person can't become a physical therapist then they can go to school for two years to become a physical therapy assistant. My cousin is one and makes good money and loves going to work each day. She is even allowed to take her dogs with her to the nursing home because they are also good therapy for the old folks. boring fukin asshole jobs here wheres the great days of contruction and building things, instead its caring for the sick and shrink type jobs. makes me puke this system today. the population is aging. that is where the jobs are right now. and not everyone finds these jobs boring. |

AmericanJedi (OP) User ID: 1503533 United States 10/18/2012 08:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hold a BS in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry and have heavy minors in physics and mathematics. I also have an associates of applied science in paramedic technology. And have worked on my Master's in both Chemical and Electrical Engineering. Also, I want to be clear, I earned both degrees without federal financial aid with the exception of one student loan of 4000 that I paid years ago. Both of the master's degrees I have pursued, I did so on my own, no help from Uncle Sam. I also hold certificates in welding, machining, masonry, carpentry and diesel engine repair. I earned these over the course of twenty plus years since I was sixteen! I love to learn new skills, I love to read everything from SM Stirling to Homer, and I am frankly sick of hearing men tirade that they can't find jobs, and are 'too old', don't have time, or whatever reason to learn a new skill. That's bullshit, you have time to watch mother fucking football, basketball, or MMA then you have time to learn a useful skill or take a class. Votech courses are often free or very low cost, opencourseware may not grant a degree but you can learn, frankly it's a fuck excuse. Oh poor fucking baby, "I went to 'skewl' for Ancient Tahitian Sanskrit and no one is hiring." Furthermore, to be frank, the world needs another finance or business major like it needs another fucking lawyer!
