As a Templar descendent I am constantly amazed at how people make up BS about us and continue to be fascinated about a defunct group of medieval warrior monks that protected pilgrims to Jerusalem and invented checking accounts and whom the pope and French king took a dislike because they were too powerful because we refused to merge with the Hospitaliers. Bad decision in retrospect.
