I will repeat here what I said on another thread on this recently.
A soulmate can be either gender and is not necessarily a romantic partner. A soulmate can even be someone with whom you clash, in my opinion, as you may have shared many lives with them, but have a lot of karma to resolve. I have met several soulmates so far, and one thing can be said of all...it is not about it being all perfect sweetness and light, it is about soul recognition. When you meet a soulmate, you just know almost instantly that you have known them before and that there is a spiritual connection. You don't even need to meet in person to know this as energy transcends place.
With a soulmate, even when you have argued and are angry with that person, there will usually still be this underlying, intense unconditional love, you simply cannot override that because your soul has shared so many lives with this person. You may not share any interests in this lifetime, but you will at an intuitive level know this person and understand them, even if you do not feel you know them at all. |

I do believe in a soulmate or whatever that is. I met my girlfriend, we slept together in a less than a month, began having sex in another month. Then we agreed on having a relationship.I know this is it. Can´t escape even if I wanted to. |

Secondary soulmates are individuals who may be either the opposite sex of of the same sex. These individuals may bare part of your soul cluster (group of souls who incarnate together over various lifetimes and come from the same soul). When you first incarnated on the Earth Plane, you came from the same Atom and are able to recognize one another, on some level, across time. Although your goal is to grow spiritualy, you and your twin flame do make Karma with each other in various embodiments, and that Karma has to be Balanced when you find each other again. Sometimes couples who bicker, battle, and squabble more than most planetary pairs are twin flames in search of Balance.
